- Try to use within 10
days of purchase. This way you can enjoy it at peak
flavor, particularly the softer cheeses. It is
better to buy a little and return often than to
battle to keep your cheese fresh. Most of our
cheeses come wrapped in butcher’s paper. For optimal
storage, keep your cheese wrapped in the paper or
packaging in which it was delivered. NEVER USE
PLASTIC STORAGE BAGS OR WRAP TO STORE YOUR CHEESE.

- Cheese must breathe
a little. The worst thing for cheese is dry,
circulating air; so place paper-wrapped cheese into
a wooden (or cardboard) box, before placing into the
refrigerator. This will prevent over-drying. You can
also place in the vegetable drawer of your
refrigerator. If properly stored, most cheeses will
last several weeks. As a general rule, aged hard
cheeses will last longer than softer, fresher types.
